Instructions for Reading 3D PDF Design Documents from Acorn Furniture
Open the PDF attachment. If you don't have Adobe Reader installed, Windows will guide you through downloading it from the internet. (This is a free product so there is no charge).
Having opened the document, you will now have an isometric (3D view) of your design.
Click on the picture to pull up the menu bar and select the "rotate" icon at the left hand end.
You now have lots of options to see 3D views of your design:
- To rotate the design, press right mouse button and move the mouse
- To zoom in/out, press the left mouse button and move the mouse
- To pan, hold down both mouse buttons and move the mouse
- To select an initial view direction, use the "views" pull down menu
- To remove any or all components of the design in order to understand it better, press the "Toggle Model Tree" button. This pulls up a windows type "explorer" menu. Click on the lower "+" icon and you will see a list of the design components. You can know check and uncheck any or all components in order to explore the design in detail. Use the window below this to change between standard views or the mouse controls above for any other view.
- If required, you can also change the render mode or the lighting settings etc.
